Barcelona Ice Skating
There are 2 main Barcelona ice skating rinks. One is out at the Camp Nou and is run by FC Barcelona. The second is in the centre of the city and is run by Skating Club Barcelona.
The rink at FC Barcelona is open for public sessions. The club also has ice hockey and ice dance teams, so sometimes the rink is closed for practices or matches. It is free to watch the ice-hockey games. FC Barcelona play in the Spanish National League, so the level is quite good.
The rink in the cente of the city is much more recreational. There are puclic sessions, classes and it can be hired for special events. It was opened in the 70's and still has the funky glitterball vibe! It is very easy to get to. The nearest metro station is Girona on the yellow line (4) or Tetuan on the purple line (2).
If you want to watch world class ice skating, then Barcelona is home to the I.S.U. world tour finals every year. They build a rink especially for the event. It is held in the convention centre at the Forum. The event is in December every year and is really popular.
The ice hockey matches played by FC Barcelona are free to watch. They usually take place at the weekends.
