Unfortunately golf options in Barcelona are now limited to simulators like at Eagle GC.

The nearest pitch n putts are either Badalona, the Olimpic Canal or ROC3.

For full on golf, you need to travel a but further afield, to either San Cugat, Sitges, Sabadell or La Roca.

Perhaps a few days on the Costa Brava is a better choice.

swing into action

first the bad news

There were two main options in Barcelona, Montjuic and Can Drago, but they are both now closed. So they only place to swing a club in anger is at Eagle GC on a virtual course.

not too far

There are a couple of par 3 courses a short hop from the city. One at the Olympic Canal and the other in Badalona. ROC3 is not too far away either.

For 18 holes you need to head a little further out, to either Sant Cugat, Sitges and the LET Med Open venue at Terramar or the world re-known Real Club de Golf El Prat.

beyond barcelona

Catalunya has some fabulous golf options, too many to list here, but a few of our favourites.

La Garriga is a Par 3 course with all the holes based on famous Par 3s from around the world, including the 17th at Sawgrass. Its a fab little course!

High in the Pyrenees mountains near the border town of Puigcerda is Fontanals. A super course in spectacular surroundings.

The Costa Brava has some truly wonderful courses on offer. You really can’t go wrong. But for us, Camiral (aka PGA Catalunya) near Girona, Peralada by Figueres (dont miss the restaurant after play and say ‘hi’ to Petra) and Golf Aro just outside the lovely coastal town of Playa D’Aro, have to be on your list.
